How it works
Pakistani DISCOs (LESCO, GEPCO, MEPCO, IESCO, FESCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO) bill domestic users using NEPRA's progressive slab tariff (B-1). Each unit is charged at the rate of the slab it falls into; FPA, QTR, ED, GST and TV fee are added on top.
Energy = Σ (units_in_slab × slab_rate) FPA = units × FPA_rate QTR = units × QTR_rate Subtotal = Energy + FPA + QTR + Fixed ED = Subtotal × ED% GST = Subtotal × GST% (0% for Lifeline / Protected) Bill = Subtotal + ED + GST + TV_fee Your input: Type = unprotected Units = 350 Energy = PKR 10,345 FPA = PKR 875 QTR = PKR 0 Fixed = PKR 0 ED = PKR 168 GST = PKR 2,020 TV fee = PKR 35 Total = PKR 13,442
- Lifeline — ≤100 units/month, lowest rates, no GST.
- Protected — ≤200 units/month for 6 consecutive months, no GST.
- Unprotected — >200 units/month, higher rates + 18% GST.
FPA and QTR change every month — check the line items on your previous bill and adjust them above for the most accurate estimate. K-Electric uses a separate tariff and is not covered.
What is the Electricity Bill Calculator?
The Electricity Bill Calculator estimates your monthly WAPDA or K-Electric bill based on the units consumed. It uses the current NEPRA slab tariffs and shows energy charges, taxes, and the final amount payable.
Use it before the bill arrives to plan your budget, understand which slab you are in, and see how reducing a few units could save thousands of rupees over the year.
How to use this calculator
- 1Enter the number of units (kWh) you have consumed this month.
- 2Choose your consumer type (domestic, commercial) if the option is shown.
- 3Select whether you are a protected consumer (under 200 units for the last 6 months).
- 4Click Calculate to see slab-wise energy charges, taxes, and your total bill.
How it works
Pakistan uses slab-based tariffs for domestic consumers. The first 100 units are charged at the lowest rate, the next slab at a higher rate, and so on. Once you cross 200 or 300 units, the higher rate applies to ALL units, not just the portion above — this is why bills jump sharply.
The calculator applies the correct slab rate to your consumption, then adds fixed components like fuel price adjustment, electricity duty, GST, TV fee, and financing cost surcharge based on standard published rates.
Actual bills can differ slightly month-to-month because of monthly fuel adjustments announced by NEPRA.
